Leopard Gecko Selection for Sandy

This is an albino baby leopard gecko, these are the youngest of the geckos.

This is a slightly older "jungle" leopard gecko baby, it has a slight nip on the end of the tail, but otherwise in perfect health.

And the last one here is a nice reduced pattern leopard gecko that might be what you are looking for if you would like a lizard with a little more size to it.

The "Kenyan" Sand Boa is more properly referred to as the East African Sand Boa, as this is a more accurate reflection of the distribution of this snake. Our Mexican Black Kingsnakes have hatched!! They began hatching out on July 23rd. They are going into shed right now and will eat soon afterward. These are popular and we always seem to sell them pretty quickly. I will post a couple of pictures, although pictures do not do these shiny, jet-black beauties justice.

Salt Water Tanks...FINALLY!

A quick update on the salt section. The main marine fish rack is plumbed and water is running and cycling. As soon as the tanks have had a chance to establish, livestock is soon to follow!! We are as excited as you are.

Columbian Rainbow Boa

This is a beautiful Rainbow Boa, not as colorful as the Brazilian Rainbow Boa, but no less spectacular in it's own right. An under-appreciated snake, this boa likes a warm and humid environment. It will best display the outstanding namesake rainbow sheen on it's scales when viewed in natural sunlight. No picture can do these snakes justice, they must be seen in person.

Also, the freshwater fish department has some really nice fish available and if you are stocking a pond for the summer pond season, look for some great fish coming soon.

The marine room... well it's hinged on drilling out some tanks and that has finally come to fruition, so big advances should be happening there by the end of the month if not sooner!!

Our Re-Opening event will begin this Friday with specials and discounts. Stop by on Saturday or Sunday for a free live reptile demonstration - 12-1 pm on Saturday and 1-2 pm on Sunday. Avon Update

The Avon store is coming along nicely and we will resume our regular hours as of January 2nd 2007 with a Grand Re-Opening to follow shortly thereafter! In the meantime, please call ahead to be sure we will be available. Due to all of the loose ends that require attention, vendor activity, holiday schedules, and moving in of stock, dry goods, and major equipment and appliances, we cannot garantee that someone will be in the store unless it has been pre-arranged. Thanks, everybody, for your patience through the whole moving process. We are working hard to make it all worth while in the end.

Update on the Store in Old Avon Village!

We are poised to move in, just as soon as the folks in our location MOVE OUT. We are waiting for our location to be vacated by the previous tenants, and we will be in. It is greatly anticipated that we will be there by DEC 15th. Our location is in building 41, just to the left rear of the UPS store (Look for our temporary banner). We will see you soon and thank you all for hangin' in there!! We have received LOTS of calls from everybody wondering when we will be opening in Avon, now it's right around the corner and we should sneak in just before the holidays.

Panther Chameleons

We are working with several localities of Panther Chameleons, including Tamatave, Blue Bar Ambilobe, and Nosey Be Blue. We have eggs from the Tamatave (pictured) and Blue Bars, with the Nosey Be's coming along nicely. The youngster pictured here is just beginning to show some color. If all goes well, babies will be available sometime between January and April.

We have two new glider babies. These two little boys have recently made their first appearance from inside mom's pouch and their eyes are just opening. Re-Locating to... Old Avon Village!!

Old Avon Village is very easy to get to and will be a much more convienient location for Harris in Wonderland. It is located right in the middle of this map, right between the "Avon" and the rt 10 marker on the map. This is also rt 44 in Avon, just about a 10 minute drive from our former location. We will be moving into the new store soon and we hope to re-open at the end of October to the beginning of November. Check back here or call for more details.
